1. Summary

  During the meeting, Japan, China, South Korea and Taiwan not only responded to the implementation of the joint statement issued by the Quartet in the 7th informal meeting of the International Resource Conservation and Management of Squid held in September 2014. The issue of restrictions on the production of oysters was discussed from November 2015 to August 2016. At the same time, it is also to ensure that special agencies can be established as soon as possible, using legal means to protect the squid.

4. Summary of results

  (1) The possibility of establishing a legal framework for the protection and management of squid resources The second informal meeting discussed the possibility of establishing a legally binding framework for the protection and management of new carp resources. A consensus is reached to protect seedling resources.

  (2) In the 8th informal meeting of the Department of International Resource Conservation and Management of Catfish, the upper limit of seedling intake from November 2015 to October 2016 was discussed, still 21.6 tons. In addition, the scheduled next meeting will be held in May 2016.
